What a wonderful confirmation of the April 24-26 conducted event "Innovation of the Week" was. The event is organized and hosted by the Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency. The results exceeded all expectations as it was a week of great interest to society as well as to the scientists.
"Georgia’s Innovation Week," which turned out to be an excellent platform gave specialists in this sector great opportunity to meet each other,. Exchange information and form the cooperating future plans to create innovative projects and products. GITA is actively working on creating strong and wide networking opportunities for IT engineers and businessmen.
"Georgia’s Innovation Week" also included different directions from IT innovations and technology. Local and foreign companies, international financial institutions, government agencies, and other experts were participating in innovation week as well. The event was also attended by the World Bank Regional head in South Caucasus Henri Kerali.
"This event is another testament to the fact that the development of innovation and technology are very serious potential. Focus on innovation, it is a need and not a luxury. It definitely will give the country an opportunity to place in a competitive economy. Additional jobs will provide a competitive environment, which, of course, in turn, will significantly contribute to the country's economic development, "- said Kerali.
In the framework of the week GITA also represented its goals, objectives, and future plans. This again indicates Innovation and Technology Agency of the great support and trust from the government, which highly increases the motivation of the participants as well as the organisers.
"Georgia’s Innovation Week" format was extremely tense, but it should be noted that the maximal productivity were being strained. All three days government and business sessions were held in parallel with different contests: Android, iOS and Web applications Hackathons and CodeBattle; Business Marathon 20 = 200 inventions and technology exhibition.
The number of registered visitors on the week was highly impressive.
