Ilia Vekua International Tournament

            Computer Programming is one of the most important aspects for the development of the modern world - Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency actively promotes Technological strength and Innovative challenges. May 24-26 by the great support of the agency,one of the biggest international competition in computer programming I. Vekua Cup was held.

            Teams members were extremely strong and the competition was severely high. Not only a measure of the strength of the participants contributed to its prestige but its open regulations. Participants were required only to have a sufficient level of programming - any age and without any other restrictions.
The final results were distributed so:

            In team contest has participated in a total of 102 teams - from these 50 team were chosen to gather up in Tbilisi, of which 13 came from abroad (2-2 Turkey and Russia, the Ukraine and 8 from Azerbaijan ).In the personal championship participated 147 - a programmer, and 92 of them were Georgian ones.
Olympics final results were the following:

           Vekua team tournament, won the Cup in St. - Petersburg State University of team (Dmitri Egorov, Paul kuniavski, Egor Suvorov, head coach Andrei Lopatin).

           Niko Muskhelishvili prize - best team arrived in Georgia - were given to the Moscow Physico - Technical Institute representatives who took second place in the championship (Alexander mashrabovi, George chebanovi, Philip rukhovichi, coach Alex maleevi). This year's team final of the World Cup participant and, I am sure, will be among the prize winners, "- said Temur Zarkua

           Eugene Pankratiev prize - the best team in the South Caucasus - gained at the Free University of team (George Saghinadze, George examination, Mr. Mandzulashvili, coach George Saghinadze), which, thanks to this result was the 2014 winner of the Youth Championship

Won the individual championship in Moscow Physico - Technical Institute, Michael tikhomirovma, which was given Ilia Vekua small bowl. Iveri Prangishvili prize - best student - gained Nicholas Svanidze (Komarov school, training center, "sunny").

          Imposed by the Ministry of Education and Culture Prize - the most participants - gained Nicholas Tsimakuridze (Free University). With the results of the 2014 Youth Championship to his credit Nicholas Tsimakuridze winner.

"While  assessing the scope  the unprecedented measure of scale,effective organizing and high academic level should definitely be noted. All of this is, first and foremost, led by the organizations and state institutions putting efforts to complete the competition magnificently. " Noticed  Ilia Vekua  International Cup director.
According to the organizers of the event, on the whole, in the future the following must be completed:

 1.Necessary, the participants carried the Olympic qualifying round, which will contribute to raising the level of the participants; In general, it is necessary to work with the experts to the students - programmers as quickly as possible to return to the elite World;
2. Given the importance of fundamental programming for Georgia, it is necessary all the educational institution  to take part in the Olympics where the programming is taught;
3.In the list of supporterts, informational profile and technology extensively using fasilities and institutions should appear.
4.We should necessarily take care of the mass media attention to be as strong and prestigious as the event itself.
             All of these aim directly echoes the activities of  Innovation and Technology Agency, in accordance with GITA will continue to actively participate in the following conference planning and development.
Georgia’s Innovation and Technology agency within this and other conferences will be promoting youth development in fundamental programming and strive for forming positive and healthy relationships between young professionals  from different countries.
